MINDFUL FLORISTRY WORKSHOPS
A pause in a busy week.
A calming, hands-on floral workshop designed to help people slow down, reconnect with nature and notice what they’re drawn to. Everyone leaves with their own arrangement.

What is mindful floristry?
Blending Zen-inspired mindfulness, ikebana, creative practice and sustainable floral design, the session invites participants to create their own seasonal arrangement in a relaxed, supportive space.
The focus is not on perfection, but on presence: noticing colour, shape, texture, scent, and the quiet joy of creating something with your hands.
Ideal for wellbeing days, team days, creative workshops and care settings. Everyone leaves with their own arrangement and a simple way to slow down they can use again at home.
What it is
Not perfection, but presence.

SLOW DOWN
A pause
In a world that asks us to move quickly and stay switched on, mindful floristry offers a rare chance to pause. Flowers become a gentle anchor: scent, colour, texture and form.

HANDS-ON
Creative and calm
You make your own seasonal arrangement, drawing on ikebana, Zen philosophy and creative practice. No pressure to make something perfect, just noticing what you’re drawn to.

FOAM-FREE
Take-home calm
Seasonal flowers, foam-free mechanics and thoughtful materials. Everyone leaves with their own arrangement and techniques to use again at home.
How it works
STEP 1
Settle in
We start slowly, with the flowers on the table.
STEP 2
A short introduction
Mindful floristry, the ideas behind ikebana and a simple demonstration.
STEP 3
Make your own
Everyone creates an arrangement, with as much or as little guidance as they want.
STEP 4
Take it home
Your arrangement, and a simple way to slow down again.
Ideal for wellbeing days, team days, creative workshops and care settings.
In the room
From recent workshops.
IN THEIR WORDS
How it felt.
Straight after a team workshop, a few people talked about how the two hours felt, arrangements still in hand.
If your team could do with a pause like this, book a free 30-minute chat and we'll plan one around you.
Good to know.
What happens in a workshop?
I start with a short introduction to mindful floristry and the ideas behind ikebana, then a simple demonstration. After that everyone makes their own arrangement from seasonal flowers and natural materials, with as much or as little guidance as they want.
What do people take home?
Their own arrangement, and a few simple techniques they can come back to at home.
Are the flowers sustainable?
I use seasonal flowers and foam-free mechanics, and I choose the materials with care.
How much does a workshop cost?
£45 per person, for up to 30 people in a session. That covers the flowers, the materials and the guidance. A team of 20, for example, comes to £900.
How long does it take?
The workshop itself runs for about two hours. I need the room for half a day, because I arrive a couple of hours early to set up.
What do you need from us?
A room with tables and chairs, and access to water. I bring the flowers and everything else. Meeting rooms, halls and community spaces all work well.
How do I book a workshop?
There's no fixed timetable. Each workshop is arranged around the group, so book a free 30-minute consultation online, or text me, and we'll plan it from there. I'm based in Glossop and run workshops across the High Peak, Greater Manchester and the North West.
